From the Editor Desk
In this age of the 'Internet' it will not be fair on our part, if we
do not make use of this dynamic medium of communication. Hence, RIrc
is launching an online magazine lovingly called the "RIrc
Ezine", to carry the latest happenings and related news from our
Network. 'RIrc - Ezine' shall be a part of the existing website of
the RIrc Network and shall be published
on a quarterly basis.
November, 1985 marked the arrival of one of my favourite
cartoons of all time,"Calvin and Hobbes", an always
entertaining and often moving odyssey into the imaginative mind of a
mischievous 6 years old boy and his stuffed pet tiger.
Bill Watterson, the creator had an uncanny knack at combining
childhood innocence and
enthusiasm with the insightful, world-weary sarcasm of a whole host
of characters,
but Watterson also used his gift to make his readers think about
'LIFE'.
Comic strips are popular art, and yes I believe their primary
obligation is to entertain but comics can go beyond that, and when
they do, they move from silliness to significance. Though Bill
Watterson retired in 1996, the legend of his two dimensional tow
headed boy and pet tiger continues to find life - and significance
far beyond the funny pages.
May we make music, and books, and sculpture, and sketches,and poetry
and many more that can do the same.
I look forward to your kind co-operation and suggestion to make
this a success.

Editor in Chief
fOotLoOse talks to MacGOD CEO of the RIrc IRC Network.
fOotLoOse: Thanks for being available to the RIrc - Ezine.
MacGOD:Thanks for choosing me as the first interview.
fOotLoOse: Could you introduce yourself and your role as CEO on RIrc?
MacGOD:My real name is Jason, and as CEO I am responsible for making sure
everything gets done with the network. Like coordinate all the teams and
keep them on track.
fOotLoOse: What do you do on a daily routine on RIrc?
MacGOD: On a daily routine on RIrc I look for ways to spread
the word of our little network. I also work on new ideas to make
our little network unique.
fOotLoOse: When were you first introduced to IRC? How was the
experience?
MacGOD: I was first introduced to IRC back in 1996 by a high school
classmate. He had me come onto the network he hanged out on, from then
on I was hooked to IRC.
fOotLoOse: Which website do you visit most often?
MacGOD: The website I most often visit is weather.com and tvguide.com.
fOotLoOse: What do you do when not on the Internet?
MacGOD: Currently I work, eat, and sleep. Most of my free time is spent on
the Internet.
fOotLoOse: About the severe DoS attacks, there was Efnet,
currently, too there is a major situation on DALnet.
How do you feel about this, and could RIrc be affected in a similar
way?
MacGOD: It is next to impossible to stop severe DoS attacks, however, RIrc
works with all server providers to protect their server as best we can.
We hope it never happens to us, but as we grow some people might begin to
target us.
fOotLoOse: Where do you see IRC and RIrc in the next 5 years ?
As bandwidth increases and more people globally are connected?
MacGOD: I can see RIrc growing to a level near the other big networks.
fOotLoOse: Any message from the CEO, to all the users that ask or beg
for Olines
with no Idea of what it is all about?
MacGOD: Olines are determined by server administration. Asking to be or begging
for an oline is not the way of getting one. Server administrators choose ircops from
people they know can handle the responsibility. It is against RIrc rules to beg or ask
for an oline. We do enforce this strickly.
fOotLoOse: Any message for IRC users particularly the RIrcers?
MacGOD: Yes, I would like to thank all our regular users for their continued support
and hope you all are recommending our little network to your friends.

What is it????
By Sahar^Fm101
What is it?
It led me up and down,
it gave me several smiles and frowns,
I was blessed and despised by it,
It made me love and yet hate,
I called it bad karma,others called it fate.
It spread on me like the rays of the sun,
Though,at times,it left me in the world's din,
Lie to me it wud at times,
Facts.hard ones,show me at times,
It left me with few dimes,
Though gave me all i wanted,
Now i look back on it,
And i put it together bit by bit.
As i figure wht it actually is.
Everything has added up to show me,
That "LIFE" it definitely is!!!

Bihar (a state in India) Essay.........from Dr SS Agrawal You'll
forget your English
by the time you
finish reading this. This is a true essay written by a Bihari
candidate at the UPSC
examinations. - How far this is true I don't know. The candidate has
written an essay
on the Indian cow:
Indian Cow HE IS THE COW "The cow is a successful animal. Also
he is 4 footed,
And because he is female, he give milks, [ but will do so when he is
got child.
He is same like-God, sacred to Hindus and useful to man. But he has
got four legs together.
Two are forward and two are afterwards. His whole body can be
utilised for use.
More so the milk. Milk comes from 4 taps attached to his basement.
[ horses dont have any such attachment What can it do? Various ghee,
butter, cream, curd, why and the condensed milk and so forth.
Also he is useful to cobbler, watermans and mankind generally.
His motion is slow only because he is of lazy species.,
Also his other motion.. [gober] is much useful to trees,
plants as well as for making flat cakes like Pizza , in hand , and
drying in the sun.
Cow is the only animal that extricates his feeding after eating.
Then afterwards she
chew with his teeth whom are situated in the inside of the mouth. He
is incessantly
in the meadows in the grass. His only attacking and defending organ
is the horns, specially
so when he is got child. This is done by knowing his head whereby he
causes the weapons
to be paralleled to the ground of the earth and instantly proceed
with great velocity
forwards. He has got tails also, situated in the backyard, but not
like similar animals.
It has hairs on theother end of the other side. This is done to
frighten away the flies
which alight on his cohesive body hereupon he gives hit with it. The
palms of his feet
are soft unto the touch. So the grasses head is not crushed. At night
time have poses
by looking down on the ground and he shouts ... His eyes and nose are
like his other
relatives. This is the cow.
NEWS UPDATE:- We are informed that the candidate passed the exam.and
is
now an IAS, is bihar in somewhere,..[sorry somewhere in Bihar

~~~BRIGHT STAR~~~
--John Keats--
Bright star, would I were steadfast as thou art
Not in line splendour bung aloft the night
And watching, with eternal lids apart,
Like nature's patient, sleepless Eremite,
The moving waters at their priestlike task
Of pure ablution round earth's human shores,
Or gazing on the new soft-fallen mask
Of snow upon the mountains and the moors
No-yet still steadfast, still unchangeable,
Pillow'd upon my fair love's ripening breast,
To feel for ever its soft fall and swell,
Awake forever in a sweet unrest,
Still, still to hear her tender-taken breath,
And so live ever - or else swoon to death.
